Former Communities Organized for Public Service (C.O.P.S.) President Andy Sarabia discusses activism in San Antonio during the 70's.The Benavides Learning & Leadership Development Center is now located where Las Palmas library in San Antonio used to be.
Las Palmas library came out of a library masterplan that C.O.P.S. leaders in the 70's put together, in order to get a bond issued for libraries on the West side. The library was later renamed after Fr. Albert Benavides, a C.O.P.S. member.
